Purchasing / Procurement Agent

Job Description

Rapidly growing Home Elevator manufacturing and installation company in New Jersey is looking for an experienced Procurement / Purchasing Professional. The primary responsibilities consist of leading all supply chain activity for our New Jersey Manufacturing Center. The successful candidate for this position has experience in the manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of supply chain concepts.

  • Build and maintain an internal procurement system tailored to Accredited Home Elevator's needs
  • Request, review and evaluate vendor quotes to provide the company with strategic savings.
  • Problem solve current state and provide efficient and cost-saving solutions
  • Ensure a deep understanding of supply markets and cost drivers
  • Constantly monitor, maintain and track current inventory usage. Ensuring proper management and lead time is given to ensure no disruption of production.
  • Coordinate Supply Chain initiatives including working capital management and minimizing obsolescence
  • Working closely with existing vendor base
  • Work closely with Engineering to understand company parts
  • Sourcing new vendors in key areas
  • Negotiate with vendors
  • Make follow-up calls to confirm purchase orders and delivery dates
  • Provide a high level of customer service to our manufacturing team
  • Take ownership of purchasing and vendor issues and follow up on problems through resolution
  • Work with and support corporate supply chain team on strategic relationships and purchases
  • Visit vendors to understand their manufacturing capabilities and processes
  • Ensures the quality and on-time delivery of proper purchased items from suppliers

Job Description

Immediate Opportunity:
Looking for fulltime motivated, reliable, and hardworking Carpenter / Woodworker with at least 1-year experience starting ASAP for our Egg Harbor plant Location, NJ based elevator cab production maker. Monday to Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM. With great pay / benefits and a great place to work!

  • Have full knowledge of all woodworking machinery i.e. (panel saw, table saw, drill press, and chop saw, etc.)

  • Evaluate Industry Document and On-Site Measurements
  • Manage Elevator Project from Sales Contract to Installation
